Even though I purchased the warranty this washer has been NOTHING but a headache. I've had 4 visits in 3 months AND they still have NOT diagnosed the issue. At what point does the company HONOR the warranty & replaced the defective washer... I understand there's procedures for every process but I've lost my patience with this washer. I had the SAME issue 2 yrs ago... Washer will drain but apparently doesn't spin correctly b/c the clothes are sitting in a WET puddle at bottom of the washer versus spinned with EXCESS water removed... UNBELIEVABLE.......I would give -5 stars IF POSSIBLE.

Why do consumer products only last a few years these days?! I went back to this "old school" washer with top load, center agitator, and manual turn knobs, but it still has stupid sensitive electronics that always fail after a few years of service!

After only 3 years of use this washing machine is done. It started leaking about 2 weeks ago once in a while. Yesterday it started to short out and trip the GFI outlet. After taking half the washing machine apart, it was discovered that the tub seal on the bottom where the drive rod enters the tub, was done. The platform trans asm kit has to be replaced and that part is $300. HA. I guess Im going back to Whirlpool again. Last 2 washing machines from them lasted 15 years.

I've been wanting a really good washing machine for a long time and I'm so glad that I purchased this one. It washes our clothes fast and the clothes come out very clean. The only downside to this washing machine is that the motor is kind of loud.

Washer will only wash clothes for 1 min. Than jumps to the spin cycle which does spin the clothing or drain the water.

I love my new washer its so quiet. I had to replace my Hotpoint washer after 22 years of reliable service and it died and parts were no longer available so my home warranty replaced it with this one so far I am a happy lady !!!!

Completely disappointed in this appliance. Can't recall exactly when I purchased it but I've only had it for at least four years. Within the first few months the washing machine stopped draining, and luckily it was still under warranty and was able to get a technician out. He had to reprogram & update the chip supposedly and help drain the tub. After that the machine worked fine for a while, but within this last year the washing machine has become very finicky with its drain cycle. It won't drain if it feels like it's too overloaded, and I'll have to remove almost half the bin of clothes. This would re-trigger the sensor I guess because it makes a noise and when I close the lid it starts to drain. I don't even put a lot of clothes in there & usually wash on super. However now it won't even drain at all. It does everything else but drain and spin. My husband has tinkered with it and got it to work again, but when I tried the machine for the next cycle it stopped and do the same thing. I'm so over this washing machine and think it's a complete bust considering it's not even five years old. Don't even get me started on the dryer.

My new GE washer is so easy to use is a very good value for the price and it's great the clothes never look better clean I would tell everyone I'm looking to buy a GE washer and this year I purchase a GE dryer great investment.

Hard to find a washer that isn't digital. Had a very bad experience with another manufacturer - washer was still under warranty - stopped working, waited 4 days for a repairman, couldn't do a thing until a new mother board was installed to provide an "error" code. Waited a week for the mother board, then had to wait another week for the part. Same thing happened to the matching gas dryer. Please continue making a simple washer!!

I love that this washer has precise fill as well as deep filling options. I like my clothes to be washed with water and soap. It also has a soaking feature and lots of rinse options too. Considering I use it 2 loads a day everyday, I only took off 1 star for this washer. I like that I could washer light cotton quilts in here saving me laundrymat costs for big load. This washer was still working but with the belt to be replaced & the electrical board starting to go bad, I replaced it before it totally died...it's not worth repairing ..costs 2/3 of what a new washer costs. I bought a similar newer GE large capacity washer as I like all the various features.

I have this machine for 2 1/2 years and it constantly goes off balance forcing me to cancel cycle and redistribute or take out soaking wet clothes. This will happen even with a small load. It's very frustrating since this was a replacement for a 7 year old GE hydrowave washer which was also terrible. The quality of this brand seems to have gotten worse over the years. The funny thing is my very first GE washer in the 80s lasted 25 years! I learned my lesson and will NEVER purchase a GE appliance again!

I bought the 2018 model of this particular washer and owned it for two years before it completely failed and had to be replaced. This washer was so poorly designed: constant balance problems, washing technology that tangles and knots clothing together to the point of destruction, spinning that causes the unit to shake uncontrollably, electronic problems, leaking tub valve, automation that causes complete confusion/frustration when trying to select temperature, water level and wash time, etc. There were so many problems with this washer that I practically developed anxiety whenever I had to use it. This washer is not made for heavy usage, so do not expect to own it long term if you do a lot of laundry. I was also told by several service technicians that both the original and replacement parts for this washer are not quality grade and likely will not withstand the test of time. For example, after only two years of use, I found my washer belt in shreds beneath my washer when it was hauled away. It also experienced problems with the speed sensor, pulley and other functionality related to the spin cycle, which completely failed before being determined a total loss.

I loved this machine because of the large capacity, top loading, and center agitator - which is hard to find now. Has plenty of great features. But it started leaking water into the finished load within 3 years, and by 4 years the electronics are completely messed up and the motor runs constantly. Costs more to fix it than to buy a new one. No washer should die within 5 years (or 10 years, for that matter!) of being purchased! I wish I could have my grandparents' 30-year old set! This stuff isn't made to last anymore!

My machine was awesome for about two years. Family of two so not a lot of washing going on. But then it stopped spinning out all the water. Would have to run spin and drain only to have it fill up with water on that cycle. It takes 3-4 different cycles for one load of clothes just to get a final spin out. Not happy. Over priced for a two year using.

Worked great the first year! Purchased in 2016 and as of 2020 it takes 2 1/2 hours to try to wash a regular load of clothes even on speed wash. It constantly "forgets" what cycle it's on and won't spin half the time! Drain and spin cycle on it doesn't just drain and spin! It fills back up with water AGAIN then try's to drain and spin. 6-8 rinse cycles later I MIGHT have one load done! My 20+ year old GE washer was working better than this one.

The washer likes to pile all the clothes to one side to unbalance. The drain / spin never works and have to wring out my cloths. Also the drain & spin cycle on the selector always fills up with water.
We have had two repair guys out since owning this and they just tell us to unplug it and plug it back in.... then leaves. Uh doesn't work!
I have to remove all clothes, unplug it, run a drain cycle, wring out my cloths, carefully load them, hand spin the cylinder, rebalance if needed, pray to the appliance gods, run a drain/spin with hopes it doesn't unbalance too much, and hopefully able to dry my cloths.

This has been THE worst purchase we made two years ago as well as the extended warranty we bought along with it and the matching clothes dryer. Not a year passed after we bought this product and it started leaking. Serviced yet continued leaking. Called and serviced again. Previous technician put in wrong part. Technician #2 ordered part and fixed. Now we have an ongoing issue with it not being able to drain a 1/2 load of towels. We have to try different cycles to get the washer to spin the towels. It just drains the water from the drum. You definitely cannot use the sheets/towel cycle for towels. Called for service. Technician sent. He read error message "off-balance." I was instructed to try and distribute towels more evenly. Other than that nothing else he can do. He left. Washed more towels and same issue arose. Called again. Requested they not send out same technician. They did sent him anyway. Nice guy..but no help at a all. None. Wanted to show me how to wash towels. Said there is nothing he can do. He said it was a poorly designed machine. I am on my third request for service. Apart from all this. The machine is EXTREMELY NOISY. Easily goes off-balance. You cannot ever wash a full load of towels...making the "Super" load setting pointless. This machine should have been replaced under their "lemon policy" but so far nothing.

This product is so basic yet hard working that I have purchased it twice. I could have purchased any higher end model and a model with perhaps finer appearance but I have had those and they didn't do the job.
