Too expensive, too much condensation

This is basically a glorified dormitory fridge. It's not assembled well. There's no pride in its manufacturing. It has a steady stream of condensate down the back wall that I thought was a flaw, but turns out it's actually part of the design, with the water dripping down to a tray that's supposedly heated by the pump and evaporated. Seems like an insane design that'll lead to rust.
My advice: don't buy this fridge.

We had to replace a high-end wine fridge and this one has all the features for half the price. We are pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. Easy installation, just plug it in and set the temp.

We have had this wine fridge for less than two years and now it stays at 66 degrees and WE CANNOT GET SERVICE. The app is broken. There is no way to get service. GE has lost credibility in my book. Used to love their products due to excellent service. Could NOT be more disappointed. No wonder their stock is in the toilet.

I purchased a wine refrigerator from GE in October 2017. 13 months later the compressor failed. Since there is a 12 month guarantee only, I thought I was stuck. GE was kind enough to replace it for free. Unfortunately, 19 months later, the second one died.
At our other home, I have had a wine refrigerator for 10 years and it is a no name which is what I am buying to replace the GE.

So far, so good. I didn't have a lot of choices in replacing my old wine cooler. Seems
the measurements of the area where it will be are just off by and inch. That left me
with two styles to pick from. This model is working just fine. Noise is always an issue
but I have no complaints so far. It's purring very quietly doing its job as we speak. I
like that it shows me the temperature and that I have the option to change it somewhat.
You always read negative comments when you try to research a product but I really
don't have any right now.

Easy set up right of out of the box. Plug and play. Easy temperature controls. Keeps the wine cold +/-1 degree. You are able to store more wine than 30bottles if you stack the wine on the 3rd shelf. Definitely recommend.

Control panel with temp display can't be seen without opening door and bending down. Changing temperature is needlessly complex. Have to push set button and listen for two beeps. Then push either up or down temp button then press set again. Buttons are tiny and hard to see.

We have the temperature set at 41° F - the temperature read-out indicates it's staying between 43° and 45°. That's good for us. The unit is very quiet. Essentially, you have to be standing in front of it to hear it running. We have no ambient noise in the room in which it's located. We can't hear it running if we're 10' away.

Unless you like your wine stored at 75 degrees, do not waste your money. I bought two - not inexpensive. One lasted less than two years. It could not be repaired and had to be replaced. The second has now stopped cooling after less than three years. For the price these products should last longer. Very poor quality for a company that claims to produce quality products. No wonder why the warrant is only one year.

We built a new house that came with GE profile appliances, no other options. Because we wanted the wine fridge to match, we purchased a GE wine fridge also. This fridge just broke and is now a wine heater, reaching close to 80* temps and cannot cool. This is the most recent disappointing experience with GE appliances. We have already had to replace the GE garbage disposal which died, replaced a burner on the cooktop, replaced 3 different parts on a defective dishwasher, have fridge doors adjusted twice and now this wine fridge just died. It is beyond disappointing that GE's quality is so poor.

I have bought 2 of these in 5 years, the compressor failed on both. Like a prevoius review I had custom cabinets built around this wine fridge. They are 19" wide which is extremely uncommon for a wine fridge so I'm now left with the bad options of either paying several hundred dollars to fix this piece of junk, but the it again, or modify my cabinets.

A welcome addition to our kitchen. The wine center has clean lines and looks very nice as a free-standing unit. The traditional compressor is quiet and very efficient. The unit has no problem maintaining the contents at a constant 44 degrees. The controls are readily accessible and simple to adjust. The tinted glass door provides a complete view of each rack and its contents. I am very pleased with the quality of the wine center.

the cooler keeps the temperature very well it holds enough wine and with adjustable shelves, it is versatile. I would recommend this unit to a friend. The only thing different from my 14 your old GE cooler is it is louder when running but it is not an issue as it is under a counter.
